Marilyn Thomsen

Marilyn Thomsen has a BA from BYU (’05), in Family History with a focus in US Southern research. Marilyn won BYU’s Family History of the Year Award for her Charles and Ann Cowley Pioneer ancestors. The highlight of her internship at the National Archive Regional Center in Georgia, was time in family courthouses and cemeteries. Marilyn and her husband Richard love to travel and research family. They have been the ancestral homes, parishes and archives of Isle of Man and England. This summer they are returning to Denmark. In the past, Marilyn has been a Service Missionary at the Family History Library, Assistant Director of the Lindon Family History Center and Director of the Sunset Heights Family History Center. An enthusiastic teacher who loves helping others find their roots, Marilyn is a Temple and Family History consultant in Alpine Utah and teaches classes at the BYU Family History Center and UVTAGG.
